Astandard52carddeckisused.Cardsareremovedfromthebottomofthepyramidbymatching2cardsupthatequalthetotalsumof13.

Kingshaveavalueof13ontheirownandistheonlycardthatcanberemovedindividually.

Queenshaveavalueof12,Jacksarevaluedat11,andeachcardfollowinghasfacevalueexceptforAceswhicharevaluedat1.

Onceapairofcardsismatched,theywilldisappearandbegintounveilthenextrowofcardsinthePyramidsaga.(Example:Jack+2)

Cardsmaybedrawnfromthestockpileandbeusetoplaywhennoothermovesareavailable.Oncethestockpileisexhausted,andnocardscanbeplayed,thegamereachesanend.Atthispointaplayerwillneedtobeginanewgame.

Aplayermuststartfromthebottomandworkupwarduntilallcardshavebeenplayed.EachgameofPyramidisnotwinnable,andthedifficultylevelforwinningagamecomparedtootherSolitairegamesismuchhigher.
