Atilethatcanbemovedleftorrightwithoutdisturbingothertilesissaidtobeexposed.Exposedpairsofidenticaltiles(FlowerandSeasonstilesinthesamegroupbeingconsideredidentical)areremovedfromthelayoutoneatatime,graduallyexposingthelowerlayerstoplay.Theaimofthegameistoclearthelayoutbypairingupallthetiles.Thegameisfinishedwheneitherthelayoutisempty,ortherearenoexposedpairsremaining.
